Today we are going to start a new blog discussion series to launch off Romance Month, and that will be an exploration of the most romantic planet of all, Venus, the goddess of love. What can you learn about yourself, and your love life, when you know where Venus is in your personal chart? Well, I’m going to tell you that! Let’s have a look, today we look at Venus in the houses, houses one to three.

Venus in the First House

If Venus is in your first house, your Ascendant house, this represents how you will show love to other people. She will touch your personality with this glow of natural charm and attitude, and a hint of sexual vitality. Ever the people pleaser are those with Venus in their first house, but it is authentic, they want to make sure everyone feels loved. Here is also a person with a strong taste for beauty, luxury, the arts, and music. These folks also seem to have a certain luck when it comes to love, but that’s because they shine with it. They make friends easily, and have every reason to believe that love will last forever, with them, it usually does. Not always with the same person, but whoever they love and whenever they love, it is pure and passionate and fierce. Venus in the first house also rules all of the characters of long term relationships, though you will find that more in the 7th house, however if Venus is in the Ascendant, they seek a married life at some point.

Venus in the Second House

Venus in the second house associates feelings with material possessions. Someone with this placement will be ecstatic, overjoyed for days when they get a new gadget or toy. Feelings in love relationships will start off slowly for 2nd house Venus placements, but once they are set, you can’t change their mind, they will stay with you forever. Material circumstances are paramount for this placement. They want a nice house, nice car, nice clothes, nice everything, and this makes them beautiful people to be with. But they are not selfish or superficial, they simply like to preen and show off the fruits of their labors. Typically these are people that feel or are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, luxury is something that follows them their entire life.

Venus in the Third House

Venus in the third house likes to associate with people and groups. They take frequent short trips, love to travel, and may be heavily involved with charity work or social groups. Their career paths take them in the center of where people are, journalism, cultural connections, and the like. Overall this makes them good communicators, so you never have to worry about whether or not you will hear from them because they are on top of that game. On the other hand, they are wanderers so to speak, and won’t be too willing to tie themselves down to a true commitment. This placement often has more sister siblings than brothers oddly enough.

And that’s it for Venus through the first three houses, note that whatever sign or house Venus is in, she will embody the characters and qualities of that house. Make sure you don’t miss a single beat of our series and are logged into all of the Norah Guide Social Media pages. Until then, enjoy Romance Month, and always remember, love and be loved!
